Have you seen the InStyler infomercial? Well, I watched it a few times and wondered if it would really work like it said that it does. I knew someone who had the InStyler and I had a chance to try it on my hair before I bought it. I was definitely impressed.

The InStyler is not a brush, not a flat iron, not a curling iron…it is a rotating hot iron. The secret lies in its rotating heated polishing cylinder, along with four rows of precision-aligned bristles that will not tangle hair. This tool uses less heat than traditional hot tools by using the rotating motion of the polishing cylinder to polish hair strands individually so it doesn’t need extreme heat. It will straighten even the toughest, most coarse hair. I should know since that is my type of hair. Although I haven’t tried it yet, it is also supposed to work on damp hair.

What I love about this tool is that I can get poker straight hair that still has volume and bounce. I can flip my hair under or achieve a feathered, flipped out look, which I could never do with a flat iron. I can also create some volume at the top of my head so that it doesn’t look like my hair is lying flat to my head. I can wrap my hair around the rotating barrel if I want to create curls. It is amazing to be able to create “straight, smooth” curls. Anyone with my type of hair understands that statement. The barrel rotates so you don’t get creases in your hair like you do sometimes when using a flat iron. It does make noise as the barrel rotates, but that doesn’t bother me. Doing my hair with the InStyler is much faster for me than using a flat iron because I don’t have to keep going over the same sections of my hair trying to get it straight. The InStyler actually polishes, smoothes, straightens and leaves my hair very shiny.

You can find more information at the website www.getinstyler.com. You can also find information at www.qvc.com, which is where I ordered my InStyler. They are offering an Easypay option right now. Mine came with the styling tool, a 3-in-1 styling comb and a heat resistent carry bag/counter mat.

I think you will really love this product no matter what your type of hair may be. It is designed for coarse hair {like mine}, fine or thin hair, African-American hair, tight curly hair, short or long hair. Give it a try as it has a money-back guarantee. I don’t think you will be sorry!!

I have thin hair but hate how flat irons smash it – I definitely need to find out of any of my friends have this so I can test it out!

I too have coarse, thick hair and I’m definitely interested in this product. Is there any way you could post some pictures for us? Thanks!

I can’t wait to get this! After reading this post, I was convinced that I wanted one. I told my husband I wanted it for Christmas. He got it at Bed, Bath & Beyond. It was $99.99 plus a 20% off coupon!

I want to use it so bad because it takes me FOREVER to blow out my hair straight, and even then my hair isn’t real smooth.
