Softlips Lip Protectant

My very, very, very favorite lip balm of all time is Softlips by The Mentholatum Company:

Smooth as butter.

We’re going on about thirteen years together and I’m sure I’ve gone through a couple hundred tubes.

(Which may have something to do with the fact that my kids like to eat them. Seriously. Drew and Madeline have outgrown it but Adelaide cannot seem to resist chomping down on the end of that plastic tube.)

(And also? My hubby is a closet Softlips lover. So in the winter I have to share.)

I almost always buy the original cherry and it’s my favorite. But about a week ago I grabbed a pack from Walmart and there was a bonus tube of tinted bronze in with the cherry. Something new and fun to try, right?

It’s great!! It adds a splash of color and shimmer but isn’t full-blown lipstick. So basically I can throw on some sunglasses to cover up my makeup-less eyes, apply bronze Softlips, and drive through the carpool line and no one would ever know I didn’t have my ‘face’ on. Handy, isn’t it?

But that’s not all… Softlips also has a new Pure organic line, available in pomegranate and honeydew:

Also check out their limited edition flavors, available seasonally.

Because lips should be soft.

Ethan steals my softlips all the time. I wonder if he’d steal the bronze one too? LOL

I love it. I keep one in my car and normally one in every coat pocket in the winter.

Ha! I still think of you everytime I’m in the checkout and see the last-minute buys in the aisle. There’s always a display of softlips. I’ve always used the tinted Burt’s Bees lip stuff, and I’m sure it’s comparable but perhaps softlips is less expensive? Might have to check it out.

From your description, I can SEE why Adelaide things it’s delectable – how many food words did you use :) ??? I MUST get a tube of this stuff!

Okay, so I’ll admit I got some at BlogHer {have no idea where, or from whom} and I have it in my purse. I like it, but don’t *love* it. It dries my lips out! Is this just because I live in the Utah desert?

Ooooh, I need to try this! So what makes Organic lip gloss, anyway? I’ve been meaning to look into more natural beauty products, but who has time? LOL
