Mascara, Improved.

A week ago, I went through a rather un-dramatic breakup that had me questioning, well, everything.  From my body wash to my mascara, I was pretty convinced that I needed new and improved everything.

Enter my new mascara:

1

L’Oreal Voluminous Full Definition Volume Building Mascara (wow, that’s a mouthful).

I liked the mascara alright, but I couldn’t reach all of those teeny-tiny hairs in the corner of my eyes.

Enter the humble tissue, folded in to a square.

2

With said tissue, I grabbed the tip of the mascara wand…

3

… and pinched it and bent the tip as far as I could pull it.

4

Now, I have a slightly curved mascara brush that is easily maneuvered into the corners of my eyes.

5

Easy little trick, no?

Try it – I promise it’ll make your mascara wand so much easier to manuver.

Now, I tried my best to conceal my chipped nails from you but really there’s just no excuse for that hot mess.  I know that I have sworn my fingers and toes to be bound to OPI Dutch Tulips for all of eternity… but, like everything else in my life, I need something fresh.

What color(s) are you wearing on your fingers and toes??  I need suggestions!!

Now THAT’S a cool tip!

I’m kind of singing the nail polish blues at the moment. Having a nail polish identity crisis, maybe? :-) I’m not in the mood for the dark colors that I enjoyed in the wintertime. I think I need something bright and cheerful.

Oooh, very clever use of mascara. I’ll try it tonight.

I am crazy about OPI’s Tazmanian Devil Made Me Do It. It’s a great orange-red for summer.

Dutch Tulips is one of my favorite colors too. I will also wear California Raspberry and Deer Valley Spice. My current favorite is by Essie called Watermelon. I somehow never veer from the pink/red color family.
