There is nothing I love more (after shoes anyway) than accessories. I love how a few pieces can easily transform an outfit from drab to FAB in no time flat and nothing says “check her out” like coordinated extras. I love finding bold, interesting, colorful pieces which means that this summer’s accessory trends are right up my alley! So without any further ado let me introduce you to some of this summer’s hottest trends.
This summer is all about eye-catching color and bold design. You want to be hunting for statement earrings, bold bracelets and cuffs and knockout necklaces. You are not looking for subtle pieces that blend into the background!
Here are three of my favorite trends:
Statement Earrings:
Its time to show off those ears with these great statement earrings. These looks are great with your hair down for day and pulled back softly from your face for evening. (Try to avoid the full pony-tail and big earrings look – it can definitely age you!) If you’re not used to wearing big earrings then the Banana Republic and Betsy Johnson earrings are a great starting point. Remember with earrings like this you should be paring down (or not wearing) any necklaces.

Bold Bangles:
Kick it up a notch with big, bold and/or bright cuffs and bangles. This is a great place to find a piece that really stands out – but beware, if you have larger arms (like me) make sure you find a cuff that’s big enough – all these items should move on your arm – not be squished on!

Stunning Necklaces:
What we’re looking for here is eye-catching! Color, texture and size all play a part in making these necklaces stunning. Think open necked shirts, v-necks and strappy sundresses here. Throw those shoulders back and strut because with these babies you’ll be stylin’!

Accessories are always hard for me, but I like how you showed a variety of choices (and prices!!). Thanks for giving me some ideas to spice up my wardrobe this summer. Great post!!
I love these! I have a hard time feeling confident in boldy colored accessories. I tend to stick to bracelets when I want color in my accessories. I am inspired by those necklaces and earrings though.
Okay, my question is always, when wearing the bold necklaces, what kind of earrings should I wear? I know you’re not supposed to be matchy matchy, right? Little diamond studs? No earrings at all?
